Review of Lush Online Purchase - Review da Compra Online na Lush

   It is what it is, and this is a review of the purchase I made about two weeks ago. I'm a big lushie, and when I decided to purchase through their online store, I thought it would be smart to order some of the "online exclusives" that looked quite appealing.

   Este post será o review do post que fiz sobre a minha encomenda à cerca de duas semanas. Adoro os produtos da Lush, e quando decidi comprar online pensei que seria uma boa ideia comprar também alguns "exclusivos online" que tinham boa aparência.

   First off the product I though I would fall in love with and ended up dreading, - the "Coolaulin" conditioner, which i was hoping could be a hit against my favorite conditioner, - the Organix "coconut milk". Unfortunately, the dupe wins not only price wise but it took me the longest time to finish the itty bitty 100ml of Lush's conditioner due to it's disgusting scent! When I first received my order I opened the cap and it smelt heavenly, the next day when I applied it to my hair and pretty much every day after that it had a gross scent of medication and hospitals!!

   É engraçado que comprei este produto achando que iria me apaixonar e acabei por odear. - o amaciador "Coolaulin",que pensava que iria fazer frente ao meu preferido da Organix,  - coconut milk. Mas infelizmente falhou, e o preferido ganha, não só a nível de preço mas só o facto de ter demorado tanto tempo para acabar o 100ml do amaciador da Lush devido ao aroma nojento! Quando inicialmente recebi a encomenda, abri a tampa e tinha um aroma divíno, no dia seguinte quando coloquei no cabelo e todos os dias seguintes tinha um cheiro a medicamentos e hospitais!!!

   Next up is the Shine so bright, which I thought would be a life saver for my split ends, but yet again another disappointment from this purchase. I understand it is a balm and not a conditioning treatment but I just expected a little more from this tiny tin! It's an okay balm for your ends, but nothing crazy, the only reason I actually like this is to tame my flyway's when I straighten my unruly curly hair, for that purpose it's perfect!

   De seguida vem o Shine so bright, que pensava que iria salvar as minhas pontas espigádas, mas este foi mais uma desilusão deste pedido da Lush. Compreendo que não seja um tratamento mas mesmo assim esperava mais desta pequena latinha! Não é má de todo, mas não chegou ao meu top, a única razão pelo qual gosto minimamente deste produto, é pela sua capacidade de colocar os cabelos soltos para baixo quando estico o cabelo!

   I simply love both my solid shampoo's and I'm very glad I actually took the risk and purchased them. I would have been really bummed with my order if all of it would be sent to the "junk stash". I use the Dr.Peppermint shampoo once every other day and it is the ONLY shampoo I use at all. Initially it was going to be used as a clarifying treatment, but I ended up falling in love with the scent and how easily I was able to sud my hair with only 2 or 3 swipes in my hair.

   Não tenho qualquer tipo de queixa relativo aos meus shampôs sólidos, e estou muito feliz por ter tomado a decisão de os ter adquirido. Teria ficado muito chateada caso todos os meus artigos fossem para o monte de "rejeitados". Uso o shampô Dr.Peppermint a cada dois dias e é o ÚNICO shampô que uso de momento. Initialmente era para ser utilizado como um tratamento de limpeza, mas acabei por me apaixonar pelo aroma e com a facilidade de applicação.

   As for the Reincarnate, I use it once every two weeks and it really does bring out the reddish tones from the henna treatments, it's subtle in normal lighting, but out in the sun it's simply beautiful!

   Uso o Reincarnate, a cada duas semanas e ajuda realmente a reforção aqueles tons lindissímos dos tratamentos da henna, é subtíl na luz natural, mas uma vez exposta ao sol torna-se simplesmente maravilhoso!

   Last but not least is the Happy Feet Wrap which is just OKAY, from all four products, I only really like the stepping stone, which I thought would be more sturdy but tends to crumble. The volcano mask as well as the foot lotion are not worth re-purchasing. In my opinion the whole wrap is not worth the $26.95 Lush is selling it for!

 

   Por último mas não o menos importante, é o wrap "Happy Feet", que é simplesmente satisfatório, dos 4 produtos que trás, - o stepping stone, o fair trade foot lotion, a volcano foot mask e a balística, apenas gostei do stepping stone, que mesmo assim era muito menos rijo do que pensava que iria ser. A máscara vulcão e a loção não merecem um lugar no pódio. Na minha opinião o wrap todo não vale o preço que a Lush o vende!

Hask Henna 'N' Placenta Conditioning Treatment Review

   As you all know I've already reviewed one of the Hask hair masques from Sally's a while back, and now I've decided to try the Hask Henna 'N' Placenta Conditioning Treatment. I was thrilled to find that the other mask was perfect for my split ends, and for the same price why not try this one??

   Há um tempo para cá eu já escrevi um post sobre uma das máscaras da Hask da loja da Sally, por isso agora decidi experimentar o Hask Henna 'N' Placenta Tratamento Hidratante. Fiquei muito feliz quando vi que a outra máscara era excellente para as minhas pontas espigadas, e pelo mesmo preço porque não experimentar este??

   To be completely honest, this product did absolutely nothing for my hair, no conditioning, nothing, the only positive aspect was the soft scent of peaches! My curly hair was unruly and still dry after using the mask and I left it in for about 3 hours.

   Sinceramente, este produto não fez qualquer efeito no meu cabelo, não vi hidratação, nada, o único aspecto positivo é o aroma agradável a pêssegos! Os meus caracois continuaram sem vida e secos mesmo após 3 horas com a máscara no cabelo.

Lush Cosmetic's Online Haul

  

   I was feeling a little lazy yesterday to go out and shop at my nearest lush store, so I just decided to purchase online, and well ended up spending a whopping $81.06 CAD, on mainly online exclusives.

   Ontem o bicho da preguiça atacou, e não me apetecia sair de casa para ir até a loja Lush mais próxima, por isso decidi comprar online, e bem, acabei por gastar $81.06 CAD, maioritariamente em produtos exclusivos online.

   I've bought solid shampoo's from Lush in the past,like the trichomania, so I decided to purchase the "Dr.Peppermint" solid shampoo, and I'll be using it as a clarifying treatment, since it's very minty! I also ended up purchasing the "Reincarnate" obviously, being the henna addict I've become.

   Já comprei châmpo sólido da Lush no passado, como é o caso do Trishomania, por isso decidi comprar "o Dr.Peppermint", que irei usar como um châmpo de limpeza, pois a menta irá ajudar a remover todos os produtos do meu cabelo! Também acabei por comprar "o Reincarnate", claramente inspirada no meu novo vício da henna.

   The next item I purchased was the "Coolaulin" conditioner, which won a place on my bill instantly when I saw that it was for all the curlies out there, and obviously any coconut and vanilla scent wins a place in my heart!

   O próximo artigo que comprei é o amaciador "Coolaulin", que ganhou imediatamente um lugar na minha lista de compras assim que vi que era direcionado para caracois, e é obvio que tudo com o aroma de cocô e baunilha têm um lugar no meu coração!

   I decided to give the "Shine So Bright" a chance since I had recently run out of my L'oreal Nutri Sleek Serum, I felt like my split ends needed something new, something that would lock in some moisture and hopefully help with damage. I was a little hesitant when I read some of the reviews on the Lush website and how it was a "greasy", "leaves residue" and "makes hair stiff" kind of product, but I mean at $9.95 CAD I think it is definitely worth the love or hate risk.

   Decidi dar uma oportunidade ao "Shine So Bright", já que o meu serum Nutri Sleek da L'oreal chegou ao fim recentemente, senti que precisava de algo novo, algo que iria fixar hidratação e possivelmente ajudar com danos. Senti me um pouco receosa ao ler comentários no website da Lush do género "é demasiado gordurento", "fica pastoso" e "enrijece o cabelo", mas pelo preço de $9.95 CAD penso que vale a pena arriscar o possível amor ódeio entre mim ou e este novo sérum.

   Last but certainly not the least on my list, especially with the nice weather coming, is "the Happy Feet Wrap". This bundle includes the "Geo Phyzz" bath bomb, a stepping stone, the "Vulcano Foot Mask" and The Fair Trade Foot Lotion.

The Body Shop Haul

   I was recently on the Body Shop website to see if the tea tree oil was on sale, and ended up purchasing much more than the 10 ml essence bottle, well 3 actually, it was a buy two get one free deal.

  Estive recentemente no website da Body Shop para verificar se o tea tree oil estava em promoção, e acabei por comprar muito mais do que a embalagem de 10 ml, na verdade foram 3, era uma promoção na compra de um recebes outro.












   After purchasing the Nailene Sensationail starter kit, I noticed my hands and especially my nails were in need of some extra care and the Delux Almond Hand Care Gift Set was perfect!

   Após ter comprado o kit da Nailene, reparei que as minhas mãos tal como as minhas unhas estavam a precisar de um carinho especial, e o Deluxe Almond Hand Care Gift Set é prefeito!

   I was so happy to find out that the skin care starter kits were on sale! I didn't want to spend $25 CAD and end up with unloved products around the bathroom, but for $15 CAD I'm willing to take that risk.

   Fiquei mesmo contente quando vi que os kits de "iniciação" estavam em promoção! Pois não queria estar a dispender $25 e acabar por odear os produtos e fiquarem pelos cantos, mas por $15 estou disposta a correr esse risco.

   This gift basket was probably the best thing I've purchased in quite a while, and I can guarantee it's money well spent! If you're like me and end up wanting all the scrubs and body butters from The Body Shop, then this is perfect to get you started on a few! Amazing price and the basket itself is very sturdy and well made.

Reshma Femme Henna Review

  The last time I hennaed my hair I didn't have the best things to say about the whole process to be honest, but absolutely loved the results; - beautiful luscious locks, but that was almost 2 months ago and I feel like the henna benefits have faded. So when I found boxes of the Reshma Femme Henna at my local Sally's Beauty Supply, I immediately began searching through all the boxes for the shade I wanted!

   A última vez que usei henna no cabelo, não tinha propriamente as melhores coisas para dizer sobre o processo em geral, mas simplesmente amei os resultados; - cachos maravilhosos, mas isso foi à bem mais que dois meses e sinto que todos os benefícios da henna já se foram. Por isso, quando encontrei caixas da Henna Reshma Femme na loja da Sally's Beauty Supply mais próxima de mim, Imediatamente vasculhei entre as caixas pelo tom que procurava!

   Remember my excuse for the color I chose with Lush's henna? Well, I ended up purchasing the color "Natural Dark Brown" for the same reason, and I'm glad I did, because the amount that comes in the packet is no where near enough for my long hair. My hair hits about the middle of my back, and according to one of the henna websites I looked up, I'll need between 350 - 450 g of henna and the Reshma only contains 20 g!! (To check how many grams you will need for your hair see page 5.)

   Lembram-se da razão pelo qual escolhi o tom Caca Brun com a henna da Lush? Bem, acabei por comprar o tom "Castanho Escuro Natural" pela mesma razão, e estou muito grata por tê-lo feito, pois a quantidade que vem na embalagem é de longe o que é necessário para o meu cabelo comprido. Tenho o cabelo até meio das minhas costas, e de acordo com um dos websites sobre henna que encontrei, irei precisar entre cerca de 350 - 450 g de henna e a Reshma apenas contem 20 g!! (Para verificar a quantidade necessária para o seu cabelo veja na página 5.)

   Since this is only the second time I've used henna, I can only compare it to my first experience, and I have quite good things to say in favor of this henna v.s Lush's.

PROS

• Super easy to make the henna paste;
• No messy, fall out chunks of henna to stain your bathroom;
• No herbal scent;
• Rinse out reduced by half the time and less effort;

CONS

• Not enough product to cover all of my hair;
• My hair was left no where near as healthy and luscious as Lush's henna;

   Sendo esta apenas a segunda vez que uso henna, apenas posso comparar à minha primeira experiência, e tenho bem mais coisas boas a dizer sobre esta henna do que a da Lush.


PROS

• Super fácil de preparar a pasta da henna;
• Sem qualquer tipo de bagunça, nem pedaços a cair e manchando a sua casa de banho;
• Sem o aroma a ervas naturais;
• A lavagem muito menos demorada e menos trabalho a retirar o produto;

CONTRAS

• Produto insuficente para cobrir todo o meu cabelo;
• Não fiquei com aquela sensação de cabelo saudável e lindo como foi com a henna da Lush;

    My hair is considered black by most of my family members and friends, but it's actually a very dark brown, and since I want to dye my hair a chestnut brown or reddish tones, I want to gradually work it into my hair so it won't be such a shock when I finally get to the color I want. The first images are of my hair before the Reshma henna, and the ones under are obviously the after, with and without flash.

   Todos os meus colegas e até a minha família dizem que o tom do meu cabelo é preto, mas na verdade é um tom acastanhado muito escuro, e já que quero pintar o cabelo um pouco mais claro ou até mesmo com tons de vermelho, quero mudar gradualmente para não ser um shock quando atinigir o tom desejado. As imagens de cima são do meu cabelo antes da henna da Reshma, e as de baixo são claramente depois de usar a henna, com e sem flash.

   Overall I was pretty happy with this product, but not sure I'll be purchasing it again anytime soon, amazingly satisfied with the neatness of it but not so much with the actual benefits for my hair, but for $10.49 CAD it's worth a try!

   No geral fiquei satisfeita com este produto, mas não tenciono comprar de novo brevemente, amei o facto de não haver bagunça no processo todo mas infelizmente não existe benefício suffíciente para voltar a insistir, mas por $10.49 CAD vale a pena pelo menos experimentar!

Random thoughts:

• I noticed my box didn't contain any packet with moisturizing oil to add to the henna;
• I didn't let the henna sit for more then 30 min, which may have affected the color and nourishing;
• The henna paste color was no where near that greenish tone it normally has, but a muddy brown;

• Reparei que a minha embalagem não continha o óleo para nutrir o cabelo para adicionar ao pó;
• Não deixei que a henna ficasse a repousar por mais de 30 min, o que poderá ter affectado o tom e os benefícios;

Hask Henna 'N Placenta w/ Olive Oil - SALLY'S REVIEW

   Ridiculously enough I keep expecting way too much out of each product I try and always end up disappointed,but this product was somewhat different. I purchased it thinking I would achieve that silky smooth, frizz free look, like the commercial babes, - to much to ask for?? I don't think so!!?

   Continuo de uma forma ridícula na esperança de encontrar o produto perfeito a cada compra que faço mas acabo sempre desiludida, mas este produto foi um pouco diferente. Comprei pensando que eu iria conseguir um cabelo suave, sedoso e livre de fricção , tal como as beldades da T.V - é pedir muito? Eu não acho!?

   

   The mask had a completely different texture than any other I've tried in the past, for a few seconds it made me feel like I was 8 years old again; where any greenish goo was monster snot! It smells like a regular conditioner but it's not too strong, once it's on your head you'll forget about it!

    Esta máscara tem uma textura completamente diferente de todas as outras que já usei, por uns segundos senti que tinha 8 anos de novo; onde tudo que tinha uma cor verde era ranho de monstro! Tem um cheiro super comum, tal como todos os outros amaciadores mas não é nada forte, uma vez aplicado no cabelo irá se esquecer por completo! 

   I started off by sectioning my hair into 4 equal parts, so the mask could be easily and equally distributed all through out my hair. Once I got all of it in my hair, I tied it up in a bun and as you can see no gunk or residue was noticeable. I initially intended to only leave it in for about 30 minutes or so but ended up falling asleep and wound up being about 2 hours, which I didn't mind at all since I was benefiting from the extra time.

    Surprisingly this product made it to my Top 10 favorites, not for it's conditioning in general, but it's ability to mend my split ends! If I had known my ends would look this nice, I would have taken a before picture! So if you're looking for a quick fix for those terribly brittle ends you should definitely get on over to Sally's and purchase the Hask Henna 'N Placenta Mask, even if you're feeling super hesitant about the reviews just go for it, I mean what have you got to lose??About  $3.49 from your wallet that I can guarantee will be well spent.

   Começei por dividir o meu cabelo em 4 partes iguais para que fosse mais fácil applicar em todo o meu cabelo. Assim que acabei com a máscara, atei o cabelo e como se pode ver não existe qualquer tipo de resíduo ou pedaços de qualquer coisa. Inicialmente pretendia apenas deixá-lo durante cerca de 30 minutos mais ou menos, mas acabei por adormecer e acabou sendo cerca de 2 horas, o que não me importo nada pois estava beneficiando do tempo extra. 

   Surpreendentemente este produto chegou ao meu Top 10 favoritos, e não pela sua hidratação em geral, mas a sua capacidade de renovar as minhas pontas espigadas! Se eu soubesse que iria obter estes resultados , teria tirado uma foto do antes! Por isso, se procura uma solução rápida para essas pontas terrivelmente quebradas vá até a loja da Sally's e compre a máscara Henna Hask 'N Placenta, mesmo se sentir um pouco hesitante sobre as avaliações compre na mesma, , o que tem a perder? Cerca $ 3,49 da sua carteira que eu posso garantir serão bem gastos.

Clean & Clear Blackhead Eraser Review - Shopper's Drugmart Haul

   I stopped by Shoppers yet again to purchase one of the items that had been on my mind recently, The Clean & Clear Advantage Blackhead Eraser Scrub. I use this in my morning routine because using the Olay cleansing system twice a day was starting to cause my skin some major sensitivity, so I decided to stick with a morning scrub and leave the intense cleansing action for the evening!

   Passei novamente pelo Shopper's Drugmart para comprar um dos produtos que andava frequentemente no meu pensamento , o exfoliante da Clean & Clear - Advantage Blackhead Eraser. Encaixei este produto na minha rotina matinal, porque achei que ao usar o sistema de limpeza da Olay duas vezes ao dia, começei a sentir a pele com maior sensibilidade, por isso decidi usar um exfoliante de manhã e deixar a limpeza de pele reforçada para a noite!

   I can't say I've been hating this Scrub, but it also didn't make my Top 10. It feels like any other drugstore scrub, with simple micro beads and full of promises. The only thing that made me purchase this scrub was it's Blackhead ERASER promise, and sadly it didn't man up to the labeling. It's worth the $11.49 CAD if your looking for a basic cleansing scrub rather than a deep pore cleanser.

   Não posso dizer que tenho odiado este exfoliante, mas também não conseguiu um lugar no meu Top 10. Sinto que é igual a todos os outros exfoliante , com simples micro esferas e cheio de promessas. A única coisa que me fez comprar este exfoliante foi a promessa de eliminar os pontos negros, e, infelizmente, isso não aconteceu, mais uma vez publicidade enganosa.Vale os $11,49 CAD se procura uma limpeza básica em vez de um produto intenso para os seus poros. 

 

   I'd like to take advantage of this post to mention the importance of actually changing the brush heads of your cleansing system! I remember when I first started using it, thinking to myself "yeah right, every 3 months?? Like it's really THAT necessary." And well the image up top really shut me up! I highly recommend you change them, especially if you're someone who wears make-up on a daily basis! And you only need to purchase two boxes per year, so it's not that much of a beauty luxury.

   Gostaria de aproveitar este post para falar da importância de mudar as cabeças de escova de seu sistema de limpeza! Lembro-me de quando comecei a usá-lo, pensei comigo mesma "ohh sim, a cada 3 meses? Como se isso seja realmente necessário." E, bem a imagem acima realmente me calou! Eu recomendo fortemente que troque, principalmente se é alguém que usa maquilhagem diariamente! E apenas necessita de comprar duas caixas por ano, por isso não é considerado um luxo de beleza.

Olay Fresh Effects Review - Post sobre o Olay Fresh Effects

  

   As soon as I started seeing all the new commercials and publicity about the New Olay Fresh Effects I thought to myself, " Ughh, yet again another teenage product". Shortly after, I received a sample in the mail, and it was love at first try!Even though I love my Cetaphil Cleanser, I just don't think it backs me up enough in the warmer seasons! I love leaving the house with freshly pampered shine-free skin, and with the Fresh Effects Shine Minimizing Cleanser I can achieve that!

   Assim que comecei a ver todos os novos anúncios e publicidades sobre o Novo Olay Fresh Effects, pensei comigo mesma, "Ughh, mais um produto para adolescentes". Pouco tempo depois, recebi uma amostra no correio e foi amor à primeira tentativa! Apesar de eu gostar imenso do meu tônico de limpeza da Cetaphil, não acho que ele me ajude o suficiente nas estações mais quentes! Adoro sair de casa com a pele sem brilho e fresca, e com o Fresh Effects Shine Minimizing Cleanser eu consigo obter esses resultados!

   It has this really nice silver tint to it and it smells and feels like you're washing your face with soap, which to me is good because it feels like you're getting all that gunkk out of your pores!After cleansing, your skin will feel super pure and squeaky clean!

   Tem esta muito bom tom prata para ele e ele cheira e sente como se estivesse lavando o rosto com sabonete, que para mim é bom, porque parece que você está recebendo tudo o que gunkk fora de seus poros! Após a limpeza, sua pele vai se sentir super puro e completamente limpa!

   A few months ago I reviewed the Garnier BB Cream for "normal" skin types, and even though I updated it saying I had acne breakouts, I ended up using it continuously up to this day, but put have been putting it on hold for about 2 weeks now since I've been given a sample of the combination to oily skin version of it.

  Alguns meses atrás eu fiz um post sobre o BB Cream da Garnier para os tipos de pele ditos "normais", e mesmo depois de ter atualizado dizendo que a minha pele não aceitou muito bem,acabei por usar continuamente até o dia de hoje, mas coloquei em standby por cerca de 2 semanas desde que eu recebi uma amostra do mesmo produto para peles mistas e oleosas.

Combination to Oily Version

PROS

• Powder only once when applied; 

 

• Apenas é necessário usar pó uma vez: 

CONS

• Over drying and excessive matte finish;
• Defines all the little fine lines on your face and makes you look 30 years older;
• Hard to apply without a make-up sponge; 

 

• Excessivamente seco e um acabamento demasiado matte;
• Define todas as pequenas linhas no seu rosto e faz com que pareça 30 anos mais velha;
• Difícil de aplicar sem uma esponja;

Normal Version

PROS

• Very moisturizing, even for oily skin;
• Easy application with hands;

 

• Muito hidratante, até para peles oleosas;
• Fácil aplicação com as mãos;

 CONS 

• Needs to be powdered at least twice a day;
• Tends to lose the matte finish in the summer heat;

 

• É necessário colocar o pó pelo menos duas vezes por dia;
• Existe a tendência de perder o effeito matte nos dias quentes do verão;

Once I use up both of the products to the last drop, I highly doubt I will be repurchasing any of the two!

   I finally received my Eucerin samples in the mail! To get your sample click here. I received the Hyal-Urea Anti-Wrinkle Day & Night Cream. Even though I don't plan on purchasing full sized anti-wrinkle creams until I'm 23, I decided to try this sample anyway.

If you're looking to purchase this product for yourself and have oily skin, as do I, don't be startled by the "dry & very dry skin", because they're just letters on the label to me. I've been loving both since the first time I've used them, a little goes a long way with these two babies, and the texture feels super rich and luxurious. I don't feel greasy at all in the morning! I will definitely consider these two products when I search for my first anti-wrinkle creams!

Apesar de eu não pretender comprar cremes anti-rugas antes dos meus 23 anos, decidi experimentar esta amostra na mesma. Se procura comprar este produto para si e tem a pele oleosa, como eu, não se assuste com a "pele seca e muito seca", porque isso são apenas letras no rótulo para mim. Tenho adorado ambos desde a primeira vez que eu os experimentei, basta um pouco para todo o rosto e sente-se a textura super-rica e luxuosa. Não me sinto nada oleosa assim que acordo! Vou definitivamente considerar estes dois produtos quando estiver à procura dos meus primeiros cremes anti-rugas!
